Your questions, answered

What does my dog do all day?

Have as much fun as possible. They play, sniff, catch, find things, run, smile, wrestle, pounce, chase, cuddle, rest, walk, lick and sniff some more. Click here for a schedule of a typical day.

What are the benefits?

Loneliness and boredom often cause bad behaviour in dogs (and Children), from separation anxiety and barking to destructive behaviour and digging (less so with Children). Spending time at WagginTails stimulates your dog both mentally and physically so they can´t be bothered doing all the bad stuff. Then there´s knowing that your dog is having so much fun while you´re at work, it´s the best feeling in the world. And don´t forget to keep this one to yourself, but when you come home you can put your feet up, without a touch of guilt.

Can my dog bring their favourite toy?

We ask that all toys and personal items are left at home. That way, no one gets possessive or upset when another dog plays with their toys without asking.

What´s the centre like?

WagginTails is a large, safe, adventure filled playground - designed for maximum fun in mind. You won´t find any runs, cages or chicken wire, just a space where dogs can roam and be free. But you will find lots of tunnels, slides, beds and chill out areas, not to mention shock resistant rubber flooring to reduce the risk of injury. It´s also a super hygienic centre, as you´d expect from a luxury resort, with air purifiers and ioniers trapping airborne particles.

Do you mix small and big dogs together?

In a pack, a dog sees a dog, no matter how big or small they are. We find that socialised small dogs are often the boss of packs full of large dogs. Wherever possible we like to keep dogs together regardless of their size as some of the greatest mates are a Laurel and Hardy type of combination. WagginTails key criteria is to match dogs to their energy level. If everyone is chilled then a large group is fine, but if we have some boisterous Staffies visiting then we´ll make sure our old and small dogs have their own space.

Will my dog get on with others?

All dogs are Behaviour Assessed before they are admitted, so inherently they should play well together. And by watching over them closely, our well trained staff ensure play doesn´t get out of hand and that everyone has a wonderful time.

What will my dog eat?

Most dogs have breakfast before they arrive at the centre and wait until they get home before getting stuck into their evening meal. On the odd occasion we can feed your dog for you, just let us know beforehand.

I want my dog to eat the tastiest, best food in the world?

That´s easy. Try our gourmet menu that´s guaranteed to impress. Our chef has created some delicious homemade meals that are so good you´ll want to eat them too. Seriously, how good does shepherd´s pie, lamb brown rice and gravy, and Mamma´s Italian pasta sounds right now? It´s natural, fresh and 100% yum. And then there´s our handmade cookies, a treat so good that dogs will do anything for them.

Where will my dog go to the toilet?

There´s a toilet area with a mutli-award winning doggy loo, which is both clean and hygienic. And don´t worry; your dog won´t change their behaviour when they´re at home.

My dog failed his Admission Behaviour Assessment, am I a bad parent?

No, all dogs are individuals and their breed traits mean that they behave differently (just like us humans). Speak to us and we´ll help you find an alternative arrangement. Maybe you four legged friend would like to hang out in our WagginTails Doggy lounge where we can assess their behaviour further and our trainer can work with them to help balance their behaviour.
