History

My name is Kristy and WagginTails began as a dream some time ago. Well, more accurately it began as the dream of my dog Murray, who seems to make most of the major decisions in my family. Murray is a very special dog who loves nothing more than hanging out with his doggy mates. His perfect day would be to play with as many dogs as he can, have ten thousand cuddles, then a quick bite to eat before a big snooze.

So you can imagine Murray wasn’t happy about being left alone everyday while I commuted to the city everyday. Not only was Murray very grumpy in the morning and hyper at night, but boredom made him do naughty things. I hired a dog walker hoping it would work. But an hour or two a week wasn’t enough for Murray, who needs other dogs to play with and lots of exercise and stimulation. And just when I thought Doggy Day Care would be perfect, it turns out that they were only available in the city.

After talking to other dog owners at the Haven in Terrigal and East Gosford it became clear that everyone else was in the same situation. So with my qualifications in dog training and behaviour, Murray thought it would be perfect if I left the corporate world behind to open WagginTails, the Central Coast’s first indoor luxury Doggy Day Care centre.
